As 2024 comes to a close, I want to share some of the standout moments that made this year unforgettable. One of my proudest achievements was traveling with my artwork to the Dutch Equine Art Fair by Paard Verzameld for the first time. It was a huge milestone in my artistic journey and a moment I’ll cherish forever.
My studio time this year was equally rewarding. I love the cozy feeling of being surrounded by paintings, each one telling its own story. Watching them come together, creating new connections between the pieces, became a passion of mine this year.
A major creative breakthrough in 2024 was my return to large-format painting. I explored new techniques and discovered a fresh approach with three large works, incorporating dark backgrounds paired with pink and green hues. It was an exciting shift in my process that I’m eager to continue.
My artsy summer
The summer was a particularly exciting time, as I began working on my first-ever sculptures—something I plan to dive deeper into in 2025. Alongside my sculpture work, I had the opportunity to participate in several prestigious equine events. My first stop was the Feira do Cavalo de Ponte de Lima, followed by the German Lusitano Festival, where I was joined by my friend Brigitte Graffenberger (Maid of R photography) to showcase my art.
A major highlight of the summer was my participation in the Dutch Equine Art Fair, which felt like a dream come true. Being surrounded by so many talented artists in such a supportive and inspiring environment was an unforgettable experience.

Another significant moment for me this year was finally painting a portrait of my beloved dog, Pipo. He has been a constant presence in my studio since he arrived, and creating this portrait was something I’d wanted to do for a long time. I’m so happy I took the time to make it happen.
As the seasons changed and November arrived, I traveled to Golegã Horse Fair for my third year. This event is always such a special time, bringing together Lusitano enthusiasts from all over. It’s a highlight of my year, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s edition.

The holiday season was filled with excitement as well, as I had the privilege of helping many clients find the perfect painting to gift their loved ones. It was a busy season, and I’m so grateful to everyone who reached out to support my work.
Finally, the year wrapped up with a dream come true: the arrival of my new Lusitano horse, Jovial CL. He has already brought so much joy into my life, and I’m excited to begin this new chapter with him.
Throughout the year, I’ve been lucky to experience moments of joy both in and out of the studio—whether it was spending time with horses, family, friends, or my dogs. It’s been a year of growth, creativity, and gratitude, and I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way.
Here’s to a happy and prosperous 2025!
